Hundreds of independent rescuers, feeders, fosters, volunteers, and non-profit organizations work of the front lines of maintaining the cat overpopulation crisis in all five boroughs of New York City. This documentary included many people who have been working in this space (some for multiple decades), but when there are so many people volunteering their time, money and energy for this cause, it would be impossible to include every single person or organization in one film.
We created this “Share Your Story” program, as an extension of the ‘New York Cat Crisis’ project to include more stories, testimony, and advocacy that speak to the state of the cat crisis and the need for policy changes and support in New York City.
How to submit?
Step 1: Fill out the form below to introduce yourself and provide basic contact information.
Step 2: After you submit the form, click the link to review and e-sign the participation release forms.
Step 3: Record your audio and/or video. Below are questions/prompts for you to respond to. Review the provide recording tips and guidelines to capture the best quality (Smartphones are ok!).
Step 4: Once your contact form and signed releases are received. You will be sent a secure link via the provided email address where your can upload your recorded audio or video file(s).
