Share Your Story
Introduction
Hundreds of independent rescuers, feeders, fosters, volunteers, and non-profit organizations work collaboratively on the front lines of maintaining the cat overpopulation crisis in all five boroughs of New York City.
This documentary focuses on the systemic gaps that have allowed the overpopulation of cats to continue. Topics include: Affordable access to veterinary care, funding for pet food pantries, meaningful investment in community resources, addressing overcrowded animal shelters, enforcing existing policies, and affordability across NYC.
Principal photography is complete — filming for this documentary has ended. The “Share Your Story” program was created, as part of the film’s Impact Campaign, to extend the conversation even further by including the stories and testimonies from more advocates who are urging city officials for these changes.
