Please donate and support the people and organizations who are working on the frontlines of the cat crisis in New York City.

Animal Rescue Organizations

Click a logo below to navigate to the organization’s donation form. As 501(c)(3) non-profits, your donations are 100% tax deductible.

These non-profit rescue organizations provide vital rescue operations, TNR operations, foster care, adoption processing, and community support for outdoor cat populations (friendly and feral).

These non-profit organizations, with the help of many volunteers contributing their time and energy, provide essential services to the city and support for many independent rescuers by sharing resources, holding space, advice, foster networks, feeder support, colony management, and processing adoption listings and applications.

Veterinary Clinics

Click a logo below to navigate to the organization’s donation form or clinic website.

The veterinary clinics listed above consist of both independent veterinarians and 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue clinics. Rescue clinics specialize in shelter care, as well as high volume spay/neuter surgeries. Independent veterinarians are unaffiliated with corporate or private equity owners or investors, giving them the freedom to treat rescue cats, provide discounted services to rescuers, and prioritize patients over profits. Both of these veterinary models are crucial to solving the cat crisis, please consider supporting the non-profits with your donations and the independent veterinarians through your own patronage as a client or a recommendation to a pet parent you know.

Independent rescuers are individuals — unaffiliated with any non-profit or other organization — working to rescue cats through TNR projects and adoptable friendly cats in their own building, block, or neighborhood. Often these rescuers are working out-of-pocket at their own cost to provide care to their rescues —including medical cost such as wellness exams, vaccines, and spay/neuter surgeries, food, litter, and enrichment. Rescue clinics are a lifeline to these rescuers, however simple cases can still cost hundreds of dollars and more complicated cases or dental issues will quickly cost thousands. They usually operate without a separate holding space, designating room in their own personal living space for rescues and fosters.

While independent rescuers cannot provide a tax deductible donation, their efforts are essential and very deserving of support. Please consider donating to these individual who are working to tirelessly to reduce the overpopulation of outdoor cats in New York City.
